I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Synalogik (Tewkesbury, England) in Feb 2022
Interview
A coding test to be taken at your leisure and submitted via github. The problem is fairly straight forward with some deliberately vague requirements.
I submitted my solution and was told that I had not got through to the next round. I was given absolutely _no_ feedback explaining what I could have done better.
IMO this is incredibly rude. If people have spent a significant amount of time on your process then the least you can do is to provide feedback. Just reiterating the criteria (as in the HR response to the previous complaint about this) isn't good enough. If this is how they treat people, I'm not sure I would want to work there.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Write some code to print extract words from a piece of text. Analyse the words found and print out some metrics e.g. average word length, most common word length etc...
We are always happy to meet with people before they undertake the code test and we also do provide as much feedback as we can. However, we are unable to provide detailed feedback on the code test as the aggregate of the detailed feedback will over time accumulate to the answer of code test in forums such as this.

I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Synalogik
Interview
Multi-stage interview process. First stage is a take-home tech test.
I was sent a take-home tech assessment which I completed completely in my free time over three evenings and to the best of knowledge I ticked every box in the spec. They got back with what equates to a simple "no" and provided absolutely zero feedback despite my request for it.
I would be wary of a company that demands potential hires donate their free time before treating them with such contempt.

Thank you for your feedback. I do apologise that you didn't get a response from your agency.
Synalogik completely understand the desire for feedback. We mark using the following criteria.
1. Does what was delivered match what we asked for? Including working with our deliberately vague requirements – as is the case all to often with real world requirements.
2. Good consideration of what makes a word.
3. An efficient solution.
Thank you for taking your time to undertake our test, we wish you well in your search for a new role.
