I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Syncbak (Cedar Rapids, IA) in Mar 2013
Interview
Good experience overall. I got a callback within 2 weeks and they brought me in for an in-person interview. The hiring manager asked a couple standard interview questions and then I talked with 3 of the current developers and they asked me some programming questions. It took awhile for them to get back to me. I had to followup a couple times to see if I got the job.

Question 1
Name a success and failure you have had in your career and how you have responded to it?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Syncbak (Cedar Rapids, IA) in May 2014
Interview
The first part of the interview was with the Director. Nice guy, though he never looks at you when he talks. And most of the interview was him talking, and very few questions. He brought in another guy, and they pretty much just talked to each other.
Next, I interviewed with the CTO. Again, nice guy. Very technically sound. We talked a lot about my current and past projects, and was very interested in my hobby work (Android and Arduino development).
Last, they set me in a room with 6 other engineers and they all asked me questions. Some I could answer, some I couldn't.
From my viewpoint, everything went fine. They said I'd hear something within a week.
A week passed. Then two. Then 3. I assumed I wouldn't get an offer and moved on. Then after a month, I got a call to have lunch with their CTO.
The CTO didn't come. Instead, the Director and his friend came. They pretty much talked to each other the entire time, but at one point told me "We'd like to hire you to do these tasks...will that work?". I agreed, and assumed I'd get an offer.
Never got an offer, nor heard from them again.
