I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Synthesia in Aug 2025
Interview
Talent acquisition interview followed by management interview focused on execution, product sense and people management. Take-home assignment to write a technical solution RFC to a product problem followed by a debrief and further interviews with engineering leadership. I enjoyed the process and everyone I met was engaging and communicated out the culture very well.
My TA was really good and built a rapport and communicated well.
My only constructive feedback was from the time the offer was agreed to the time the contract was signed took over 2 weeks due to working through an EOR in my country, and that could have been more seamless as I was interviewing elsewhere and it would have made life a lot easier for me to communicate out to other potential employers and my previous employer earlier.

Question 1
System design - Design a system to implement one of the product features given a PRD. Write an RFC as a submission for review by their leadership team.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Synthesia (London, England) in Mar 2026
Interview
The interview process was standard. A recruiter call, followed by more sessions with leadership. The process felt a little cold, and one interview was started almost 10 minutes late without any notice, which felt unprofessional. It seems like a great product, but I have experienced warmer candidate experiences than this.

Recruiter screening call: going through the experience and some very specific aspects of the career (challenges, approach, outcomes).
