I noticed the job posting listed on Craigslist. I immediately applied and waited a few days before noticing it reposted on craigslist again. I reached out to the manager that was responsible for interviewing. He finally wrote me back and said " Thank You for reaching out, I agree that you have an excellent background but your commute is unrealistic ( my commute would have been 1hr each way) I wrote him back and kindly mentioned that I was relocating to the area in 2 weeks and would like to be considered for this position. I never heard back. I do not think it is fair that someone can make the decision for me regarding my commute daily. I am not originally from the area and with my previous position I did a daily commute that was much longer than this one. How can I be told I have an excellent background for this position then be disqualified before I even had a chance. All based on assumptions. It would have been nice to even get a response back.
