      Training Manager Interview

      3 Aug 2011
      Anonymous employee
      Salt Lake City, UT
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at TP (Salt Lake City, UT) in May 2009

      Interview

Getting initially interviewed and hired with Teleperformance, requires a mandatory online application (with resume) to be completed. This can be done in the Recruiting office, or from a remote location (like from home). There will be a Recruiting Screener/Appointment maker that will call you, to schedule an initial interview with one of the Recruiting Department Recruiters. The Screener will ask several questions to see if you have the basic qualifications to work for Teleperformance. Don't bother lying, as the truth always comes out (qualificaions, background problems, drug use, etc). The Recruiter will ask pre-determined questions to see which account you would be best suited. There is a certain amount of pressure for them to push to fill for accounts who have New Hire classes sooner rather than later. If you honestly cannot commit to 100% attendance during New Hire training, discuss later classes, as it's far better to schedule for a future class, than be fired for bad attendance. After the Recriting Department interview, you will be scheduled for a second interview with a Trainer or Production Supervisor for the account you are applying to be hired for. This interview will be behavior based questions. In other words, questions where you will describe how you would act or what you would do or say in a given situation. The reason for this, is to filter out those applicants who say that they have experience in a given field, and those who can verbalize appropriate examples of their actual experience. Again, there's no advantage in lying about your background experience, as these behavior based questions will highlight those who have experience in a given field, and those who are trying to fake it. If you are nervous about these questions, look outside of the building, and find the smoking area. Ask those in the smoking area about the interview process, and how they responded to the questions, to get an idea of current questions. The Recruiting office is very busy. Be nice to the Recruiting Department Receptionist, and she will champion your cause. The corporate culture is business casual. At one time, Teleperformance had a bad reputation for just filling seats with seats, but that image is changing, and it is becoming a more professional environment, especially for the Executive Travel consulting account.
