I was genuinely enthusiastic throughout every stage of the application process for this position. I can say with certainty that I am heartbroken by the outcome. I invested significant time researching the company, its values, its unique marketing perspective, and its social media presence because I truly believed in what the organization represented. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect the level of respect and consideration I gave throughout the process. My advice to other candidates is to apply to companies that value your time, energy, and the personal expenses that often come with pursuing an opportunity.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you faced a difficult challenge at work and how you handled it
I found the interview process to be unfulfilling. I made efforts to accommodate the needs of human resources throughout, but each time I followed up I either received no response or was ultimately left without any clear update. My communication remained consistently positive, yet after three months of waiting without progress, I have decided to move on.
I had understood that this company would not operate this way, so the experience was disappointing. It has shown me that communication can be handled selectively, depending on internal priorities rather than mutual expectations.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at TRG (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2025
Interview
Recruited by the company and applied for a Sr. Designer job. Interview process was straight forward. First was a panel of 3 people with the design team going over my portfolio and past experiences. Then a follow-up with a recruiter. This felt a bit backwards from other companies. After that I was told that I'm the top candidate and strung along for 3 weeks while they sorted things out on their end. Ended up not getting an offer because they decided to stop hiring remote and felt I was overqualified for the role.

Question 1
They asked me to walk-through a project on my portfolio as well as some behavioral questions. One question was about how I handle feedback from non-creative/designer side of the business.
