TechBlocks has been trying to fill this Sr. Manager, Demand Generation role since October 2024, but their hiring process is completely unstructured and mismanaged.
The interview process consists of three rounds:
An initial HR screening.
A discussion with the Director, followed by a demand generation case study.
A final interview with the CEO via video conference.
The case study requires significant effort, yet shortlisted candidates receive no stipend for their time and work.
Despite the effort put into the case study, the CEO barely acknowledges it, making it seem like a pointless exercise rather than a meaningful evaluation.
The CEO also lacks clarity about the role—his expectations align more with a Director-level position, despite this being a Senior Manager role.
The salary is fixed at $120K (non-negotiable) with additional perks, which leaves no room for compensation discussions.
Overall, TechBlocks appears more interested in extracting ideas from candidates than actually hiring someone. Their inability to fill this role for over six months is a clear indicator of internal misalignment. If you’re a serious candidate, I’d recommend avoiding this company to save your time and effort.
