Standard panel interview with two supervisors. They asked 10 back to back situational questions. I was very disappointed to learn I did not get an offer for an entry level case manager position. I have over a year of experience in foster care, I provided them with 4 letter of recommendations—two of which from my current Supervisors at my foster care agency. I have multiple FSW/ TL’s I work with daily at my current position who encouraged me to apply for the state just for me to get rejected. TN and other employees are constantly complaining how short staffed and overworked they are yet someone who is over qualified is looked over for recent graduates and those who have 0 experience in child welfare. I have recently worked with multiple brand new FSWs with no experience and I have to pick up their slack as a provider agency case manager. Two weeks after my interview and hearing nothing I reached out to HR and got an immediate rejection notice, when asked for further clarification on why I was rejected I got no feedback. So if you’re fresh out of college or wanting a career change and have 0 experience in child welfare they’ll definitely hire you!
