I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Texas Roadhouse in Oct 2012
Interview
I had to learn the food and drink menu and then validate with the general manager of the store. I had to serve him as if he was a regular guest. He order 3 courses and made sure to test my product knowledge every step of the way. As long as you dedicate yourself to knowing your food and drinks, you shouldn't have a problem with this process.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me steak sizes and to describe steak temperatures.
In person with multiple people being interviewed at the same time as you, usually starts with the manager and if they like you, they would introduce you and the owner of the restaurant will interview you and give you the job on the spot.
Easy and straightforward. Talk about your experience and why you want to work there. Hired me on spot and organized my orientation days. Worked with my schedule and accept seasonal work.
