I had a 30-minute phone screen but decided not to move forward with the process because of the condescending attitude and comments from the interviewer about the industry of my current and previous jobs. They reviewed my resume and reached out immediately... If my current industry is such a joke, why did they reach out? Not interested in being talked down to constantly by someone who doesn't even know me and hasn't seen my work, just my resume.
In this case, there was a slight misunderstanding with a recruiter about the person's industry and role, and unfortunately we learned in the interview early on that it wouldn't be a good fit. This has not happened before or since.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Berndt Group (Baltimore, MD) in Mar 2019
Interview
Phone interview followed by in person interview. The COO Michelle is a nasty woman, very unpleasant person which is why I turned down the offer. I would advise anyone who is thinking of working to meet with her before you do because you will not like the job if forced to work with her on a regular basis.
This is a very unusual thing to read, because Michelle presents extremely positive and is a deeply respectful and caring person, recognized very openly as such by the majority of the company. We are not sure what was going on here, but it is a comment that is very hard to place in our interview and hiring process, which is a very warm and positive process.
