Applied online, then the HR person contacted me for an "interview" if you want to call it that. First, I was asked if a couple times worked. I responded and heard nothing back. Then I asked if I could get confirmation of the time specified. I was given confirmation after prodding them, and the call took place as scheduled. The HR person had zero useful questions and provided almost no answer to my basic questions (had been on the job for a month). I'm told this is full onsite, and for a company of 200+ employees, you'll have to deal with everything yourself (one-person operation). Red flags already. In addition, the IT Director will have to deal with guest tech in guest rooms (like broken televisions, etc) which is ridiculous. The last person was there only 18 months. Another red flag. In addition, all my questions went essentially unanswered; salary? We are withholding that pending a candidate offer. Specific technologies this position works with? Unknown (Microsoft, Google Cloud, AWS, etc). I ended the interview with "I don't have enough information to move forward, so please pass me to someone who can at least provide information relevant to my being able to make a decision." I expect this process to die. Any organization that trusts HR people to screen high level candidates instead of hiring managers is to be avoided. Hope this helps.
