I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Children's Place (Fresno, CA) in Sept 2009
Interview
I originally turned in the application a month before I got the actual interview. My friend worked there so she talked to her manager about me who in return told her to bring me in. I went in and had a very fun conversation with her that was very laid-back. The same day I got a call to come in for an interview the day after. I was interviewed with one other person and right off the bat the manager said this would probably be the most casual interview we'll ever have. She just asked questions like describe a situation in which you received excellent customer service, describe a situation where you saw a fellow employee doing something wrong on the job, and why do you want to work at The Children's Place. Overall, the questions were easy and it in a comforting environment.

Interview
It was an easy process, it was a quick interview and I got the job on the same day. The main questions asked were about availability and how much experience I had in the field.
