I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at The Children's Place (Mississauga, ON)
Interview
I submitted a resume in person and heard back within a week.
I would recommend giving your resume to a manager and letting them know your availability.
Interview is fairly easy with basic behavioural questions - "tell me about a time when..". I was told right then that I was hired and the interviewer scheduled me for a training date.
I had a one on one interview with the assistant manager but during peak hiring times they usually have group interviews with 4-5 applicants.
Peak hiring times:
Back to school - July/August
Christmas - October end
Usually look for friendly, outgoing and mature candidates, most of the employees at my location were 18-24 and the full timers were 30+.
Dry to dress appropriate for the interview - even though it's retail it's just not ok to show up in tights and a tank top.

Interview
It was an easy process, it was a quick interview and I got the job on the same day. The main questions asked were about availability and how much experience I had in the field.
