I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Container Store (New York, NY) in Oct 2010
Interview
My introduction to The Container Store was a breeze. I was a referral from a friend/employee. I was given a tour (BY THE GM) and then offered a job. I don't remember a formal interview process.
I transitioned smoothly from Seasonal to Transitional to Prime-Time employee. It was smooth and again, it seemed like just a mutually beneficial unspoken agreement. I became part of that family, and they became part of my life (a huge part and since).
I am now (after transferring locations) a Full-Time Leader, learning more and more everyday.
The "process" here, coming into a much larger market, was a bit treacherous at times. A lot of people are waiting for a finite number of openings. But I stayed true to whom I was, and persevered day in and out. It paid off, and then some.
The interview was quick and painless; I was asked one or two questions, that I honestly don't remember now. They were more thought questions that allowed me to speak on my contributions to the company as a Full-Time Leader and where I wanted to go with the company.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Container Store (Southlake, TX) in Nov 2018
Interview
1st interview was with General manager and Operations Manager. Very standard. Behavioral questions that are unique and make you think on a higher level. Second interview was with Area Director and Market Recruiting Manager. Less job related questions, and more personal. Area direction reviews first interview by sharing the things she liked and concerns. And asking clarifying questions to address concerns. Sick as length of drive and inexperience in position.

Question 1
Give me a time you had to help someone make a decision. Did they make the right decision.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Container Store (Chicago, IL) in Nov 2016
Interview
Owing to the fact that it was for the post-Thanksgiving rush, the interview process was pretty streamlined. I submitted my application online and had to wait about a week to hear back.
First, I had a phone screening with one of the store managers. At the end of the conversation, she asked me to come in and watch a round of merchandise processing.
I shadowed for about an hour at 6am, after which the sales floor leader asked me about what I observed, as well as some questions about work availability.
A few days later, I was offered the job over the phone.
