After three rounds of interviews and a reference check, I was informed that the position I was applying for was no longer available. The person that I was meant to be replacing because of their poor work was going to be staying. The fact that this decision was not finalized prior to starting interviews for this position shows an utter lack of respect for my time. The decision to keep this person is especially confusing because the last person I interviewed with spent most of her time complaining about what a poor job this person had been doing, and rather rudely I might add. I can't imagine this decision is going to work out well for this company.
Also, this position was advertised as work from home, but I was informed that I would need to provide my own equipment to do so. This is not common and should be made clear in the job description.
