I did not apply to Heineken, but their recruiter called me and told they have very interesting position right for my profile. Phone interview was scheduled quite fast.
However during the interview I soon realized this position does not exactly correspond to my profile, besides, I don't think THERE IS a person with such profile in the whole world. The range of the expertise they required rather correspond to a team of people.
Their IT ambitions is very high and they would like to build something like own ERP-BI system for their own need, internally, rather than using available solutions.
Unfortunately (or luckily for me) I already had experience with far more IT company, tried to build similar solution and they didn't succeed, which I had to explain to the interviewer that I personally see risks and cost to be very high. Anyway, It was clear in the end that I won't going to take this role. But not sure he was listening though.
I can only guess how profitable the beer business is, if an IT department of a brewing company is willing to compete with companies like SAP at the very least.
They promise to come back to me in the next couple weeks and they never did of course (low professional level of HR as it is, which is not something rare) but the whole experience was rather funny than negative.
