Interview
The phone interview went well, with common interview questions. Of course, the very interesting compensation question comes up. Trying to answer tactfully over the phone presents a new challenge. So, the HR Rep who conducts the interview is more worried about what you earn rather than the value you add to the company.
The biggest issue I have is that, the HR rep said she would follow-up either way.... She never did. So, after about 3 weeks, I sent an email asking about the status. She said "I hope to speak to the President today and I'll get back with you".
Why not just be honest and say you are not selected? I just don't understand the lack of common courtesy. If these are the company practices, I've dodged a bullet.
