After completing a lengthy pre-interview questionnaire I was selected for a phone screen. The phone screen went very well and I was specifically told I'd be moving forward in the interview process. I sent thank you letters to the people involved after the interview ended reiterating my excitement at the prospect of working for them. After no word for a week I followed up in a brief email for which I received no reply. After several more days I followed up again with a voice mail and linked-in note, again no reply. After 3 weeks (and an obvious lack of interest on the companies part) I sent another e-mail requesting confirmation that another candidate was selected, so I could cross them off my list of opportunities. I received a rude response that I "bugged them" and was not selected to interview further. However; I was specifically told otherwise during my phone interview.
If this company treats potential candidates like parts, instead of people, it's no place that I'd want to work. There are companies out there that care about people, this is apparently NOT one of them.
