Hi, Me and my headchef have applied for jobs for this restaurant. Headchef hourly wage advertised as £17 ph real wage 10.25 per hour. Sous chef hourly wage advertised as £15 per hour real wage 10.25 per hour. We went through interviews process and trial 3 hours away from Edinburgh. Kitchens are messy and zero chefs in the kitchen - only promoted kps. Company pays minimal wage even for senior chefs and then sometimes gives you tronc? Chefs! Stay away! Glorified General Managers enter kitchen during shift? Why? Why are you doing this without any safety shoes or hat yet you expect and force your chefs to wear it? Next thing is - as a senior chef you are expected to work 48 hours a week. Off season you have no tronc so you make a 10.25 per hour which is very bad for a chef job. Generally we have wasted 3 days being sent to units across england just to find out Job is not £17 per hour for headchef but 10.25 plus tips up to £17 together.
