I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Salvation Army (Boston, MA) in May 2012
Interview
When I worked here, Carlene interviewed me. She believed in the stores purpose and was very kind. It wasn't a traditional interview, she didn't ask the kind of typo le questions. She really just created conversation that was geared toward how productive I will be, and making sure I'm not a crazy person, haha. Also the assistant manager was there, and there wasn't any pressure. I was a regular at the store beforehand so they all kind of knew me anyway.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Salvation Army (Covina, CA) in Feb 2026
Interview
Did not ask very many questions, just concerning my availability and hours. The manager did not see to me, but the assistant did. She was very nice, although I didn't get the position.
