First interview was supposed to be online.
Applicant had to click on a website link, turn on the Web cam and answer questions displayed on screen.
Clips from your interview could be given to various managers and stored on the interview portal indefinitely.
I found this method to be largely unreliable and I had privacy concerns. Therefore, I opted to withdraw my application. I don't imagine that younger applicants would have had issues with the interview process.
A drawback is that there is no opportunity for interviewer to ask follow up questions or for the applicant to ask any questions at all. I offered to Skype instead if they had no time for a real interview but was told it is not the practise for Bell Globemedia to do this and that this new interview process was their directive. Too bad as they will miss out on a lot of great employees with years of experience to bring to the company.
