Job description versus what they were looking for in an ideal candidate were very different. In short, they were looking for someone that already has the contacts and network to bring them new business (they claimed to already have exhausted every method of prospecting they could think of and are mainly relying on referrals).
Felt like one of the interviewers tried to fish for ideas by jumping straight to asking me what I had in the sales pipeline. At the end, he tried to lowball me and even asked,”So you just stated $xxxx because it was the lowest of the range we offered?”. Well, that definitely leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
