      Administrative Assistant Interview

      7 May 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at The Team (Los Angeles, CA) in Apr 2026

      Interview

I applied through LinkedIn, and a recruiter reached out to me. I had a phone screening where the recruiter provided information about the company. He asked me basic questions such as, “Tell me about yourself,” “Can you provide more information about your work experience?” and “What is your biggest accomplishment?” I thought I answered the questions well, and at the end of the conversation, I asked if he had any additional questions for me or if he thought I would be a good fit for the role. He then said he wanted to give me some feedback and mentioned that he wanted to hear more about what I’ve done rather than what I currently do. He also said he was looking for more metrics in my answers, which seemed a bit odd given that this is an entry-level role with a salary close to minimum wage. He also mentioned that my desired salary was on the higher end of the posted range and that there was no guarantee I would receive that amount. Honestly, that came across as somewhat unprofessional and felt like a red flag to me. It made me wonder why they would post that salary range in the first place if they were already discouraging candidates from expecting the higher end.
