I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at The Trade Desk (Singapore) in Feb 2024
Interview
It's important to know that the interview stage is LONG. It took 2 months for all 4 stages to wrap up.
The interview comprises of 4 stages:
1. Screening with HR where the role is explained, and to get a brief understanding of your background and situation. Questions like why this role and why TTD will be asked, so prepare to have thought out answers to both. Finally, the interview process will be explained.
2. Meeting with Hiring Manager (in-person): questions about culture fit, situational questions relating to team experiences, culture fit (what type of team dynamic and management culture are you looking for) and also detailed situational questions relating to your resume e.g tell me about how you achieved X stated in your resume. All questions were situational focused , so practice your STAR reasoning.
3. 3 round interviews with Traders, Sales and Account Manager peers. All questions were culture fit focused, and situational questions like:
- tell me about how you would respond to a situation where the trader has communicated something to the client that you disagree with
- conflicts between you and the trader you work with
- how do you build strong relationships with clients
- how do you deal with your clients not getting prioritized by product etc
- a situation where you failed
- what are the latest happenings in programmatic
4. A final stage of presentation to a panel. My topic was a mock presentation to a new client who is investing heavily on walled gardens only on 1) what programmatic advertising is and 2) how they can leverage TTD in their digital marketing. Do your research into TTD's products and solutions, as the Q&A focused on diving deeper into what the recommended products could do for the client.
All stages of the interview were pleasant, and the interviewers I met were engaging, warm and friendly. They all seemed like good people.

Case presentation: Prepare a 30 min presentation to a new client who is investing heavily on walled gardens only on 1) what programmatic advertising is and 2) how they can leverage TTD in their digital marketing.
phone screen, manager interview, then two more 45 min interviews with colleagues and a in person presentation. it was a lot of behavioral questions and some hypotheticals, especially in person so be ready to answer hard questions on the spot. everyone was very friendly and personable.
Thorough and professional experience. Starts with a standard phone screening with HR to get to know you on the surface. Continues to escalate from there to more in-depth interviews. Very standard, no negative experiences.

Interview
The interview process is long, 6 rounds for 2 months, and the final round is a case study presentation. The TA is really friendly and helpful, and is willing to share the interviewer's feedback and comments.
All the interviewers are also nice and happy to know more about your experience, so I can feel free to share my learnings and insights about their questions.
The whole interview process and arrangement are smooth.
