I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (New York, NY) in Nov 2010
Interview
I went through a temp agency, and had multiple interviews before landing the job. The HR interview was pleasant, nothing out of the ordinary...the hiring manager interview was a little different. The YMCA has some specific needs, and it was tricky accurately matching my skills to those.
Be prepared to interview with as many as 3 people...the HR rep, your supervisor and dept head. Depending on the structure of the particular department, there may need to be more interviews.

Question 1

Interview process was simple, energetic, basic and to the point. There was not a lot of extra conversation and the interview felt rushed. I would like to understand the position better with a quick question of what to expect on a typical day.
I applied online. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Boston, MA)
Interview
The interview was as expected. I was able to explain my past experience and soft skills to secure the position. Having a passion for outreach truly shines through and is necessary for any position with the YMCA
