There was a very long online application. This was followed up by a phone interview. I clearly stated what my minimum pay would be and was still asked to come in for an in person interview. This interview was conducted by the person I assume was the head of the department. It took almost 45 minutes. At the very end. She explained that the pay range for the position was well below my started minimum, and asked if I would still be willing to consider the position. I was amazed and insulted. What a complete waste of time and energy.
