I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) in Sept 2014
Interview
I emailed the Aquatics Director with my general experience. She gave me a call and we had an informal phone interview, and then she invited me for an in-person interview. This all happened very quickly - within a few days. During the interview, she asked me about my prior experience and teaching philosophy. Immediately after that interview, she asked me to set up a meeting with the Executive Director for the following week. After meeting with them, I was offered the position.
Simple, informal, tour facilities, check certifications. I had to wait a while for interviewer to be ready to see me but once they were ready, the interview was simple and quick. As long as I passed background checks, I had a job offer.
