After applying the response back to me was very quick, within a week they had emailed me, and then an interview was arranged the following week. Virtual of course.
The interview itself was with talent team, and as expected very polite, friendly and approachable, but also very stilted, robotic and from a script.
The questions were read from a script, in order, with no real flow or personality. This then made me feel less comfortable and certainly a loss of interest, my side, but I tried.
It felt like it was a 3rd party doing the interview, it was very rehearsed and there was no natural Flow at all, no back and forth, no conversation and no rewarding experience. It felt like an interrogation and not an interview - for first stage this felt really unnatural and unappealing.
I knew here I was not going to progress from both sides.
An exciting opportunity of course, but a startup feel as the role is new, untested and unknown.l and they were looking for answers and guidance, not kneeling what the role would like like from within.
Also, how can you NOT reveal the compensation and benefits is a strange move. Looking for the most experienced at the lowest offer.
