No interview. I applied through Union Local 104. You have to pass an entrance math test, and then you'll be scheduled for an aptitude test. You need to take an extra class as well (with quizzes and tests). All the 3 scores from all those tests will be combined. The higher score, the faster you get in.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Therma (San Jose, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
I submitted my resume online on www.therma.com and was asked if I could come in for an interview. I set up a meeting for the following week and was offered the job the day after my interview.

Do you have any previous IT or administrative experience?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Therma (San Jose, CA) in May 2014
Interview
Had a short phone interview where they asked a few basic questions, then they brought me in for a face to face interview. The in-person interview involved several technical questions and them just getting a feel for my personality. They gave me a tour of their facilities (which are very nice) then had me demonstrate my Autocad proficiency with a very basic test.

Question 1
The Autocad portion of the interview had a couple of requirements that were unfamiliar to me. Fortunately, they allow you to ask questions but I would strongly suggest knowing your way around whatever program they are interviewing you for.
