I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ThinkIQ in Apr 2021
Interview
Standard software engineer interview questions. Background questions and algorithm questions. The interviewers were extremely friendly and seemed to be happy to be working there. Had a great overall experience. Everything took about 2 weeks.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at ThinkIQ (Aliso Viejo, CA) in Dec 2019
Interview
Worse interview I have ever experienced. Avoid this company.
Contacted by recruiter, followed by phone screen with CTO. That went fine was then called in for an in person interview. First interview was with a long time project manager, 2nd interview was with a long time developer. Both went fine. Third interview was with a person who had been a college intern, then come back and been hired. I do not recall his title. During that interview design patterns came up, and he did not like my answer. He immediately got up, left the room and called the prior two interviewers into a conference room with another person. I was just left in the conference room wondering what was going on. A short while later they sent an HR rep into my room and she marched me out of the building! No good bye, don't call us we will call you, thanks for coming.. nothing. You would think that I had been caught spying for a foreign government. Their is an extreme culture problem with this company. People do not act like this in a vacuum. There is a reason that they have to rely on external recruiters.

Question 1
Mostly technical, a lot about postgresql since this was a backe end position.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ThinkIQ (Aliso Viejo, CA) in Jan 2020
Interview
1. Recruiter reached out, he was nice and seemed to care about me and my concerns for the company
2. Short call with CTO where he asked me 2 questions and said I want you to come in, where I knew nothing about them(other than my own research)! Had to squeeze out some information about the company, but felt weird about taking the time to do an in person knowing so little about the position or company.
3. In person with CPO who was not on the same page as CTO and recruiter. He cared more about finding a math oriented person (which I graduated in math/stats role 6 year ago) than someone who knows how to build products (also been doing for 5 years), which was not represented in job description.
Overall was very unprofessional and never gave me the opportunity to ask questions about them. When I stumbled my way through a calculus question, he said he needed to go another meeting and walked out. They treated me like I didn't just take a half day from work and take 3 hours out of my busy day to come to their office and evaluate their company.

Question 1
Tell me about your experience, what you enjoyed, and what you learned at each of your positions and education.
A french fry went through 4 stages of the belt - A,B, C, and D(the end stage) and comes out of a conveyer belt at 2:00pm (stage D). Given the belt is 10m and the speed of the conveyer belt is not constant, what time did it go through A? (he drew a graph to better represent the speed over time)
They asked nothing about product process, choosing between features, UX or design questions. Do your research and push for a more indepth phone interview to prevent wasting your time .
