The interview process was fantastic. I had been unemployed for about 2 months before talking to the team at Timescale and my first interview with the People Operations Manager was the light at the end of my tunnel.
I had a spreadsheet tracking all of the applications I submitted in that time, the statuses of each, and information on the people and interviews for each role (when they actually contacted me). I was almost at 100 applications in the spreadsheet when I started interviewing with Timescale, just to show the validity of my next few statements...
I had never had such a mutual and positive connection with an interview team before starting the process with Timescale. Everybody was welcoming, humorous, and genuinely interested in the actual human I am.
Here was my process:
1. Interview with the POPs Manager
2. Interview with a few members of the Recruiting Team
3. Interview with the VP of People
4. Reference checks with the 2 individuals I provided
5. Short interview with the CEO
It was a pretty laid-back process, which is fitting for Timescale because they're interested in the quality of their people and work really hard to get to know each person.
