Recruiter Call tests moritvation, general fit etc. Then conversation with hiring manager, which focused strongly on product/ technical knowledge, asking what metrics to look at when a client states that insta has stronger performance. While I pointed to multiple other KPIs and sales objections, she ultimately stated "I was waiting to hear customer lifetime value" - it became obvious that she wasn't trying to understand how I solve problems, but had a checklist of keywords she wanted to hear. I then asked about the key deliverables of this fixed term contract role (mat cover) and how involved leaders are in joining client visits, and I was told that the team mostly does that independently, and this cohort needs someone who manages transformation, motivates and works on deploying sales strategy. The hiring manager didn't ask a single question that focuses on those skills, which gave me the impression that the process was not at all aligned.
