I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok in Mar 2020
Interview
Straightforward, quick, communicative process. The time from a recruiter reaching out to getting the offer was just about 3 weeks long. 4 interview rounds - initial phone screen to gauge interest, second round also brief chat to explain experience, third speaking with multiple future team members (very conversational, seeing if you are a fit for the team), final chat to discuss salary expectations. The process was transparent and feedback was given regularly along the way! Reading reviews on here I got nervous, but that was not my experience WHATSOEVER.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2023
Interview
First round was recruiter screening interview, which is fairly standard and easy. The recruiter was very helpful
The second round was an interview with a manager from China. Not a very great/pleasant experience and the timing of the interview was not ideal (late night)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Drilled very deep in individual experience on the resume.
it was quick and easy, felt calm and at ease, good communication. Good experience to do it. friendly recruiters and are open to talk about anything relating to the role or company
I applied online. I interviewed at TikTok in Nov 2020
Interview
Very strange process -- It felt more like they wanted to hear about my product experience rather than an interview for a role at the company. Never got back to me after a follow-up and overall seemed disorganized, unfocused, and a waste of time.
