The basic questions about background, experience during university, what you are looking for in the job.
I applied through university. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at TorreyCove Capital Partners (San Diego, CA) in Mar 2019
Interview
Applied and someone reached back out, went into an unexpected group interview. That group interview taught me a lot about the culture of the TorreyCove. The people involved definitely knew their finance knowledge, however, I literally picked up bad vibes of the workplace 5 minutes into the interview through them. The interviewers lacked any sort of courtesy or friendliness and asked me questions in a condescending manner. I really never even felt welcome the moment I stepped through the door because everyone looked so stressed out. I understood that this is the culture and the 'team' that I could have potentially worked with so even if I were to have received an offer, I would have declined based on this experience.
I applied online. I interviewed at TorreyCove Capital Partners (San Diego, CA) in Sept 2018
Interview
Very straightforward interview in which we went over my resume and I was asked to explain a few of the things I had put on it. The interviewees were friendly and easy to talk to.
