Interview
The first interview is dropping off the application. Now that I've been with the company I cannot tell you how many people get passed on based on how they act and what they say while turning their application in. Anyone can learn to stock a shelf, you have to prove you have a personality and are out going enough to have an quick conversation with anyone. The next interview is with a mate (manager) or two and the last will be with the captain (GM). The interview should be fun and easy it helps if you have shopped the store before and have a few favorite products.

Applied online and had one in person interview with the captain. It lasted maybe 10 minutes. Got a call a week or so later that I got the job. Very fast process.
The interview process was absolutely wonderful! I didn't feel stressed or nervous and it felt like I was just chatting with a friend! Trader Joes is a great company and the interview was great.
It's two to three interviews, the final with the Captain (or highest manager) of the store. The interviews are largely to get to know your personality and how well you would do at customer service.
