I went in to fill out an application, mate asked why I wanted to work there and my favorite product. Honestly I don't think this matters because so many people apply, they wont even remember who you are when reviewing your application. About a week later, I called to check the status of my application, an employee told me that I was not selected for an interview. Then later on in the day, I received a phone call stating that I was selected for an interview (yup). I went in the next week, supervisor was really friendly and nice, interview was laid back, very conversational, took about 30 minutes. She made me comfortable so I spoke a lot, even cracked a few jokes. Got a call after I left asking for another interview, I went back, the captain interviewed me, and this is my honest review. I think the captain may have been in a bad mood, she was not as cheerful, seemed very robotic with her responses, I felt that she knew she was not going to hire me but just did the interview for the hell of it. She only asked me 4 questions and it was very awkward, I felt like she was trying to rush me out of the interview which only lasted about 5-7 minutes. When I left, I knew I was not going to be hired, but with some hope, I called the store to find out and was told that they lost my application. The supervisor took my name and number and said she would call me the next day but never did, well, that's trader joes for yah! I don't think I will ever shop at or recommend this Trader Joes to anyone ever again-- just because the entire process and misplacing my application was such a turn off.
