      Executive Assistant Interview

      10 Nov 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Milwaukee, WI
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Transwestern (Milwaukee, WI) in Aug 2015

      Interview

The interview process was very informal and non-traditional. It went quickly and I genuinely walked away feeling interested. Upon my 6 week employment span, I was very disappointed by the lack of training, communication, and general disregard for providing tools to succeed. Mind reading was definitely expected once hired. Buyer beware!

      Executive Assistant Interview

      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Transwestern (Houston, TX) in Oct 2025

      Interview

This was one of the most unorganized interview processes I’ve experienced. I completed a total of four interviews. During the third, I met with the executive team — one of whom arrived 15 minutes late. By that point, I already sensed this wasn’t the right company for me. On the same morning as my final interview with two Executive Assistants, I had fortunately received another offer from another company. I found it unusual to have a panel interview with two EAs for an EA role, but I went through with it. Unfortunately, that last interview left me feeling uncomfortable and discriminated against based on race — something I will never tolerate. I felt it was important to share this experience so others can approach this company with awareness.

What is the best part of being an EA? What is the most difficult?

The interview process was straight forward. Started off with a phone screen with the hiring manager and then two in-person interviews, one with the direct team and one with 10+ other office team members. Offer was shortly after final round.
