      Director of Sales Interview

      27 Dec 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TriNet in Dec 2025

      Interview

Applied on LinkedIn then phone screen with recruiter. She was very polite and thorough. Next step was about two weeks later with the hiring manager. Nice guy, very professional. I was pretty excited about the potential of working for this company. I was a bit disappointed upon receiving the rejection later but I have no ill will or any negative thoughts towards them. Would definitely jump at another shot with Trinet.

      Interview

Steer clear!! Unless you want your time absolutely WASTED! Had a great first call with the recruiter who prepped me for the process to take 2 weeks from start to finish; it took 7 weeks in total with 2 surprise in-person meetings, which were not previously discussed. I got only possitive feedback from every single person I spoke to and had a great rapport with the hiring manager. 2 business days after meeting the National VP of Sales in person I got an Auto Rejection. Honestly, how dare you treat candidates like that!! That's a deplorable tactic. Worst yet, I got in touch with the hiring manager days later, and his feedback was "lack of industry experience"...I'm sorry but the time to make that decision isn't at the end of a grueling 7-week process; this should have eliminated me at the start, so that was a huge cop out. What was peculiar was that there was no mention of moving forward with another candidate, which, to be honest, I knew, with how disorganized the process was, there was no way they could maintain a pool of candidates all at once. 2 months after getting rejected ANOTHER recruiter reached out to me for the SAME opening and you bet I checked their website and it was NEVER FILLED. How EMBARASSING. An absolutely atrocious process. Also, I dodged a bullet from what a current colleague of mine who previously worked for them told me. Leave this company on "read".
