I applied online and was contacted by an external recruiter. After some time, I was told some candidates had been chosen and so i wouldn't be invited 'yet'. Not an ideal approach given that uncertainty during applying is never helpful but I understand smaller companies have smaller hiring capacities. However, once the position was filled I was sent an automated message that included the mistake of [job title] and also said they 'did not get a chance to fully consider your application'. Perhaps clumsy wording but if it wasn't 'fully considered', then surely that is a flaw in the hiring?
Seems like a good company model and concept that is interesting going forward, but if capacity leads to a 'half considered', minimalistic hiring process, then it urgently needs a review.
