I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Tribe Management (Vancouver, BC) in Sept 2017
Interview
I went to their office after hours for the interview and the building doors was locked. The janitor was there so he let me in and I told him I was going to the 4th floor, and he was going to take me there because the elevator needed a key tag to scan for access. Coincidentally, the CFO of Tribe just came down to the lobby as he was leaving for the day, and after the janitor told him that I was there to visit their office, the CFO offered to take me up instead. (One of the nicest & friendliest gentlemen I have ever met btw).
After I reached the office, the CFO connected me with my interviewer; who had the prettiest and brightest reddish pink hair I had seen in real life (It’s currently not the same colour anymore though). Just by the two experiences, my impression of the company was really positive.
We had the interview in one of the smaller boardrooms and we ran through some basic introductions and summary of who I am and what I do. The interviewer gave me a synopsis of the history of Tribe and it’s goal in the industry.
After the interview, I was arranged a second interview with the VP and the CEO.
The interview with the VP and CEO was a Face Time interview, and it was my first so it was pretty interesting and I felt that this company is not traditional at all. The interview itself was not long, and it was basically the two interviewers describing what Tribe’s goals and aims are, and fromvthe conversation, I can tell that the two of them are very very passionate people, and it made me refresh my view on this industry and wanted to join them on their mission.
Had two interviews. Second interview, interviewed with three people at the same time—one showed up late. They asked very stock, outdated interview questions. Ghosted me after...they could have at least answered my follow-up e-mail. Makes you wonder how their day-to-day operations are run.
