I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Troy Design & Manufacturing (Plymouth, MI) in Nov 2020

Interview

One phone interview followed by an in person. Had a tour of the plant following. Only one person in the interview. Pretty basic questions were asked just to be sure I knew what I was talking about.

Phone interview with an HR representative, then in person interview. During the in person interview, I met with the head engineer and the department manager. The head engineer was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Brief and very detailed with supervisors. Weak from CFO, didn't know what he was talking about and more concerned with his status and low pay (indication) than my interview.

1. What type of analysis have you performed in terms of Accounting? 2. Whom do you know at Ford?

When asked if I would consider the position and the compensation was discussed it was shocking and unrealistic. They really need to rethink their Finance pay structure. I thought I was being offered a salary from the late 1990's???
