I was contacted by an HR representative the day after submitting an application to set up an initial phone screenings. 2 weeks later I met with the hiring manager and was asked to send in some previous work examples to HR who would pass along the information. HR never responded or confirmed receipt, but 2 weeks later I was contacted for a final round interview to take place in person in another 2 weeks, making that a 6 week process. After several more weeks and no responses from following up from HR, I have assumed I have not gotten the role. After several rounds and traveling to an onsite interview, the lack of communication and not at least receiving a rejection feels extremely unprofessional.
