I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Tulare County in May 2023
Interview
Took about 6 weeks to get a response. First received notice that I would have to take a written exam. They then email you the results and tell you your ranking. If you are in the top 7 they schedule an interview. At the interview, there were 5 different people from 2 different departments. They explained that they were interviewing for 2 positions - a records clerk and a title assistant. It was clarified that the "job" is both of the jobs and if offered, the person would be doing 2 separate jobs. They could not answer anything about logistics of one person doing two separate jobs with no overlapping responsibilities. Also could not answer how one is expected to be "customer facing" for one of them, while sometimes not even in the office for the other. Overal, it took about 9 weeks. A lot of hoops to jump through & the interview made it sound like a horrible position to work in.

I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tulare County
Interview
Great experience! They made you feel comfortable and went over the role itself and the specific program you’d be working in. They gave me a better idea of what I was applying for.
