I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Turo
Interview
I applied and had 3 phone interviews that went well. After the last phone interview, the recruiter asked for availability for an onsite interview, which I gave. I was subsequently left hanging for weeks, which I thought maybe was bad luck due to the holidays. The recruiter then asked availability for a phone call update, which I also gave. The recruiter then ghosted me completely and I haven't heard from them since, despite sending availability updates and also asking about the status of my candidacy. Please treat your candidates with respect. If for some reason the candidacy of an applicant has changed please inform them professionally and politely so that they can move on accordingly. This isn't Tinder.
Turo interviews usually include a recruiter screen, hiring manager chat, portfolio/case deep dive, cross-functional panel, and a final culture/values conversation. and waiting forthe next round right now. Turo’s interview process typically starts with a recruiter screen, then a hiring manager call, followed by a portfolio walkthrough and case deep-dive, plus cross-functional panel interviews with Product and Engineering, and a final values/culture round.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Turo in May 2022
Interview
First round was a screening interview with the hiring manager, then I had a general call with the recruiter. After that was a panel portfolio review where I presented past projects that I had done. The final round was 1 on 1 interviews with a user researcher, engineering manager, product manager, and senior director of product design. The overall process was extremely efficient, communication was great, and I felt supported by the recruiter and the team throughout the whole process!
