This was supposed to be the first, introductory interview with the CEO/Founder and another team member. The interview was divided in two parts, one focusing on technical skills and the second one focusing on my background, other skills etc. The interview was extremely formal throughout, it was not an engaged, two-way conversation, but rather, I was challenged for most of my answers, even heard from the CEO saying "You haven't properly answered the question", generally a very aggressive tone, unnecessary, condescending small comments like "I don't think you get it", "Let's move on", and a very uncomfortable vibe (only from the CEO's side, the other member was fine). The role I applied for was a fully remote one but the interview was designed to be in-person, something I did not expect at all. I asked if mine could be done virtually due to personal commitments at the time, this was accepted, but clearly the interview model they had did not work well virtually. Overall, I would not encourage anyone that respects themselves and their professional knowledge to ever go through this. I received no respect and was not even given the opportunity to ask my own questions. So, the whole process was very one-sided, this is not how it should be, and this says a lot about the company culture. P.S. I am writing this review 30 minutes after finishing the interview, not knowing if I would move forward to the next stage or not. This is not a rejection reaction and I am confident to publicly say that I am no longer interested in this position and company. I have in fact let them know right after the interview that I was not interested anymore.
