I applied online. I interviewed at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (Dallas, TX) in Apr 2017
Interview
It been a long process. 8 months so far. I am waiting on the next step. Its a process that should be given lots of time. I just passed the polygraph portion. A tip for the polygraph: follow the agents instructions. The machines there to fail you but the agents there to help you pass. I figured he knew more about that machine than I did so he would get me through it and i did.

Interview
They purposefully try to give you a hard time and fluster you so you have difficulty keeping your composure and answering the questions. Very vague questions and experience overall. Virtual interviews are uncomfortable.

Pre-employment phase is long. Lots of questionnaires to fill out and assessments. You watch a few videos to guide you. Overall I think it’s something I want to get into because my main goal is to become an immigration services officer
