      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at UC San Diego (La Jolla, CA) in Feb 2011

      Interview

There were no interview involved. The "interview" was a packet in which you can fill out and return back to management for review. Pretty much you get hired on the spot when you go in and ask for openings. It would expedite the process if you were referred by an employee.

      Question 1

Would you be able to start immediately?
      1 Answer

      Interview

The first step is to apply online. Then, when there are spots that need to be filled, they contact potential employees via e-mail. There is one group interview in which the heads of all the dining services facilities meet with three interviewers. Within a week, they make the hiring decision.

Describe when you have experienced bad customer service and explain what should have been done instead.

      Interview

Group interview where they would ask us questions and we would answer one by one. They would do lots of scenarios, which was nice to be in a group setting for so you had some time to think. Pretty laid-back interview. The interviewers were pretty friendly as well and made you feel comfortable to be there. I think they are pretty open to hiring students so it was a pretty easy process and not too nerve-wracking.
