      Lead Development Representative Interview

      5 Mar 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Lowell, MA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at UKG (Lowell, MA) in Jan 2019

      Interview

I spoke with a Sales rep I had a connection with and was excited to apply, I was referred to the recruiter from there. Then I had a nice initial screening phone interviewer, and immediately was invited for a face to face interview. This was a 2 hour process, with 4 different people. I was provided with a call scenario to answer. Left feeling great, was called back quickly, and they kept me on the hook. Letting me know that they were very interested in hiring me for the position. It really felt like I had the job, they were talking start dates, which supervisor I would have, and the region I would be assigned to. All happened really fast, then...boom nothing, no calls, no emails, poor communication, to only finally be told weeks later that they had some "internal moves" and the position had been filled. Through some back channels, I discovered the person who wanted me on their team, had been let go, and it felt like my job offer left with that person. It seems a little unfair to have been given so much positive hope, only to loose out because someone else was hired. I am supposedly in the pipeline for another role. I did apply a second time, only to be (after over a week) told I would only be considered for a specific role, and this was not that. The posting made no mention of it being one specific role. Generally in sales a quick no, is the best answer other than a yes. A long no is the worst, being on the hook for over a month, and then told no, but I am "in the pipeline" only to again be told no when I apply to the same job, and again told "in the pipeline" I think they should be better at treating candidates, get them a straight up or down answer, quickly, and make it about the person being hired, a potential supervisor being terminated should not have bearing in if a candidate gets the job.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked all the standard questions, and they wanted to see me get through a mock sales call.
