      Marketing Assistant Interview

      31 May 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Pitts, PA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at UPMC (Pitts, PA) in May 2016

      Interview

I was contacted the morning after submitting my resume and cover letter by a recruiter. I had an interview two days following the initial notification. The interview was only 15 minutes and was extremely routine. When it came time for me to ask questions at the end of the interview, I of course asked the day to day work and then what the position entails weekly. The recruiter had an abrupt attitude and said she does now know the specifics to that question. I understand as a recruiter you are calling A LOT or people daily, BUT you should have general knowledge of the position and the general work that potential employee will be doing. For an organization that prides itself in customer service...they don't really do what they preach.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked very specific questions about your tasks and experience. Ex) When did you have to overcome a struggle? Ex) When did you have to work in a team atmosphere? Ex) When was the last time you went above and beyond for customer service?
