I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at UPSIDE Foods in Jun 2020
Interview
Phone screening with recruiter, phone screening with technical person (my potential manager), zoom interview with relevant team members, "onsite" presentation-based interview with break out 1:1s. Interviews were all laid back, no problem solving on the spot but definitely evaluation of my technical capabilities and my soft skills.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Soft skills of problem solving and operating on a team
Technical lab skills
Almost the whole interview process was very enjoyable. The people were nice, interesting, and helpful. However, this company definitely needs to work on how they treat employees that they don't plan on hiring. I found it to be quite rude how (after 3-4 rounds of interviews) they stopped communication until they saw fit. Many others who applied to this company in the past year have said the same.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
How would you describe your work style?
Role-specific technical questions
I got an email a week after applying and scheduled a phone interview. They were quick to reply to schedule. I interviewed with one of the team members.
